Saving electricity (and money!) and reducing energy consumption have been a big priority for consumers of late.
In Australia, we are lucky enough to have the Energy Rating Label which helps consumers to compare the running costs of appliances at the time of purchase.
But how do you use the label?
IThere are two parts to the label.
- The first is the Star Rating – the more stars, the more energy efficient the appliance.
- The second component is the Energy Consumption of the appliance. The lower the kWh figure, the less energy the appliance will use.
Keeping an eye out for both of these features is important as ultimately – the appliances the draw less energy will cost you less to run and reduce your electricity bill!
